Title: How much cash should I bring?
Post by: 4StringsRcooler on August 09, 2014, 01:08:55 pm
I have my ticket to an upcoming show, Oct 13, and I'm just wondering what kind of KD merch there will be and how much money I need to bring!  I'm so excited and I'm not leaving empty handed! This will be my first KD show!  \m/

Bring as much as you can carry and spend it all.

Figure $30-40 for a shirt.  There will probably be 3-4 shirts being offered for sale.  There will probably be a few other items like hats, hoodies, keychains, etc.

I don't think the shirts will be that expensive, isn't the prices going to be the same as on the shop?

I doubt they would be the same prices as the webstore, almost all the time shirts are more at concerts than online.  Any idea on how much they have been charging for shirts in Europe?

I agree bring what you can and lets hope there will be several shirts to choose from. I know I'm going to bring at least $50.00 with me . It has been awhile since I have been to a show and I'm sure prices have gone up since then used to be about $18 to $25.00 a shirt unless it was a jersey or special kind like a tie dye . Now that would be cool lol.

As I recall it was something like 200dkk for a shirt, maybe 150dkk and 200dkk for a longsleave. I could be wrong though. Prices are generally higher in Europe after my understanding

$500 dollars for an exorcism! :slookl: You might need it after the show and Father Malone doesn't work for free. But yes, $40 for merchandise sounds about right.  \m/

Why would I want an exorcism?  This demon and I are getting along great!

HaHa! Well played!
"My Demon" is an amazing MF song.  \m/

You know I always wondered why Hank and Timi wore those huge ass crosses onstage. Was it to protect themselves from all the evil that King was bringing to the Mercyful Fate concerts?  :disturbed:  :icon_eek:

Just now I was watching the video of MF in Italy in 1983...I never noticed/remembered this before....someone in the audience is holding up a Christian cross, King politely takes it and holds it upside down during the song.  :king:

I know that some bands sell their shirts for more at the concerts because fuck you, you're amped and more inclined to buy, even if it's at a higher price you will rationalize paying $5-$10 more.

It's kind of slimy but good business psychology.

I say it depends on what you want to get. Personally I just get a t-shirt so I'd bring enough to cover drinks + $30 for a shirt to concerts. If you want to get a whole bag of swag like vinyls, cds, shirts, posters, etc, I'd bring more accordingly.

I wonder if KD will still be using the same Tshirt guy...can't believe I forgot his name, but it's been years. Also is there a chance they can sell the vinyl reissues at the shows? That would rock!  \m/

The venue usually takes a cut of merchandise sales at concerts, too.  They bands have to charge more to make their money back!!!
