The Graveyard lineup video
« on: July 01, 2007, 04:53:02 am »
I found the performance of Sleepless Nights with The Graveyard and Spider's Lullabye video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDMACF1eDCo&mode=related&search= you can also find Meet Me At Midnight there.
I saw the second leg of European tour and there was John Luke replacing Darrin Anthony, so this is the first time I've seen Anthony in action... I have to say he did Mikkey Dee's playing justice. He also looks like the twin brother of The Gathering drummer :fingers:

What festival is this part of? Bang Your Head? If so, I should really try to find the first volume. I have the second one, but no King in it

It was at Monsters of Rock '96, in São Paulo, Brazil....

Also, it was the last time King was here... 11 years ago...  :'(

I've noticed this on a few bootleg recordings. Is it just singing problems or the way the vocals are recorded? I've heard many different live recordings and all totally different when it comes to how the vocals sound. I've never liked the sound of the vocals on the Abigail Live 87 release. Is this just due to how the vocals were mixed and recorded during a live show? Is it a cheap mixing board? Cassette recording? Outdated VHS camcorder?
Resistance is inadvisable...

i read in an interview (a quite recent one, not older than a month, it must be here on the Coven somewhere) that they recorded it with a taperecorder, no mixing

Yeah old recording of live King don't really sound the best. They do no justice to the man's range or tone. That's why I was so happy when they released Deadly Lullabyes and we finally got a proper live album that doesn't sound like shit.
