Maybe King lives in the house "AMON"....and "THEY" are invisible guests and the floating head woman is GRANDMA (maybe her head was departed from her body...but I think grandma is in hell!!). But I think they didn´t find some tea, so they left again...(disappointed)

Haha! Hey, it's true sometimes. :fingers:

But on a serious note, it really is based on King's house. He said so himself in a few interiews regarding the new album. It may be based in Texas, but it wouldn't make the house any less evil or haunting. I know, because being a Texan myself, I live in an apartment that does have a spirit. I've seen her myself.

I am looking at a house that I might be getting. the first thing I thought when I saw it was that it made me think of the house in the song.Except no lake nearby, but there is a river. By the way Texas also has the Devils Back bone an area that has been featured on Unsolved Mysteries, for being one of the most haunted places on earth.

I don't see Devil lake Sanitarium in the picture. Must be in the foreground.  :D:

It is a nice pic though. Wonder why the locals gave it the name they did though

I think it has something to do with the rock formations.  Here's a link from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, but they don't specify exactly why it's named Devil's Lake:

I've never been to the  lake itself, but I am in that area a lot during the winter.  I ski there when I can, although it's nothing like the mountains. I should take a weekend trip there this summer- it would be interesting to see Wisconsin when it's not covered in snow.

im pretty sure that king had himself in mind as the main character in this story.  "...I'm dressed in black, in my stinkin hat..."  probably that one ---> :king:
