A King Diamond Christmas
« on: December 24, 2006, 08:36:21 am »
This year I bought 5 copies of The Puppetmaster to give as X-mas gifts. I like to call that CD "A Very Special King Diamond Christmas". It's my little way of boosting King's record sales.

Did you buy anyone a King Diamond CD for Christmas?

Did you call your local radio station and request "No Presents" or "Christmas" from Puppetmaster?

If not, you get a lump of coal in your stocking!

Vinland Saga is lovely. I especially adore Elegy and Mourning Tree.

I will occasionally call up random rock stations and request King Diamond just to hear the response of the DJ, lol. I love it when they say sure we'll get that right on for you, and I'm like yeah sure man, haha!

I bought myself some KD for Christmas if that counts.

A few years back when I lived in Memphis there was a local high school run channel that did a metal show on saturdays.  I would always call and request King and the guy would always play it for me. That's the only time I've ever heard him on regular radio.

I plan on collecting them all, I will get my father the puppet master next. So far I have Voodoo, Abigail, GMYSP, Puppetmaster, and the eye. The collecting continues until I have (them) all.

I recently bought "no presents for Christmas". But I can't remember when. It must be somewhere between 15 DEC  - 31 DEC. (Isn't that coincidence?)  :D:

I always give several King Diamond CDs to friends as Christmas gifts and have done so for 5 or 6 years now. I usually give them to friends that aren't real familiar with King's work but are fans of hard rock & metal. in my own small way I've helped to bring a few new fans into the fold.

Usually when I'm not so damn busy, I'll hop on the KNAC.com chat room and request some King. They play it for me every time.
