Thanks for posting the interview, kissfinland.. It's always very interesting to read interviews with King himself but it also makes a cool change to read an interview with the other guys in the band, and get their perspective on things. The photos are great too.

Is it just me or did the comment about Chuck's death seem a bit cold???  :(

Well, I am looking forward to this "dark mood'' the new album will have. Thanks for the interview.

I'm definitely looking forward to a more dark and aggressive album.  We haven't heard something quite like that since House of God (although I love the "gothiness" and melodic feel of The Puppet Master).  Can't wait to see what the story is, since King is using just a painting as the template for the entire thing.  It will be interesting.

Interviewing King Dimond himself would be really cool but as far as I know he doesn't do any interviews while he's on tour and he doesn't do too tuch "face to face" interviews either? I have tried that many times but with no success  :( If you're interested, dere is the link for interview which I did (again) with Andy and Mike in 2001:

Regarding the comment about Chuck's death seeming a bit cold.
I kind of felt that way as well. When Chuck dies Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth said about the same thing"Shit happens". It bothered me a bit and when I read Andy saying that I felt the same. So yes a bit cold.

I don't think it was cold, it wasn't like he just said "HEY, SHIT HAPPENS! NEXT QUESTION!"  :gah: He actually said "Well of course it's horrible when you hear things like that. What can I say, shit happens. It's too bad… He was a really cool guy." So I think there was some affection and respect in what he said.
