I went to the record store today and saw "Vodoo" and "House of God" are 19.99 CND each, while the other two still are at 14.99 CND each.

What's the trip? Why do they charge five more bucks for "Vodoo" and "House of God"? >:(

Ok, I think I'll get them online somewhere, but I post this here anyway because someone might be able to explain this to me. Why record stores are charging more for "Vodoo" and "House of God"? Is this pattern the same everywhere else in the world, or it's only here in Montreal?

TSL and Graveyard were 12.99 USD, Voodoo and HOG were 13.99 USD here. I'm just glad they still make and sell compact discs and don't make everything download only. I'm glad there are still stores that even sell music anymore.

For The graveyard and Spider's Lullabye I've ordered directly from Amazon.ca.  I've paid 11.99$CAN each.  HMV Store was selling them 14.99$. I recommend to buy them on web it mostly less expensive.

No kidding. I can barely read and write English!

Speaking of lanquage, I have always wondered something about King. If his native language is Danish (if I'm not mistaken) are there any recordings of him singing in that language? Why did he choose to only record in English? Or is English the official language of metal?

I went to the big HMV store downtown, but I've also checked in two Archambeault and one HMV in Laval. The price of HOG goes from 19.99 to 22.99 --the same for Voodoo. Maybe you can find it cheaper at Best Buy or Futureshop, but I don't really know.

It would be interesting. In addition, I have no idea how Danish sounds. :D:

Why did he choose to only record in English? Or is English the official language of metal?
Yes, I guess metal cannot be easily commercialized in any language but English. I mean, the genre is already marginal enough, even in English; so just wonder what metal musicians would do if they only sang in their native language --they would all die of starvation! :D

In spite of that, I've heard several GREAT bands singing in other languages than English --Aria and Kruiss from Russia, singing in Russian; Avalanch and Stravaganzza, from Spain, and Transmetal from Mexico, singing all in Spanish, and so on...

I wonder by the way if there are any good metal bands singing in French... Anyone knows?

Thanks. If I see them cheaper somewhere, I'll let you know!

Transmetal from Mexico, singing all in Spanish, and so on...

I have an album from them with all the vocals re-recorded in english! I prefer the originals.

Sortilège. But they too re-recorded some in english. The french versions are superior!

No. The artwork is the same. Maybe just very minor changes in the booklets/packaging, but virtually the same.

I work in a Futureshop I've never seen a KD or any MF releases for years...I've seen a few albums listed on the website but they're not in stock.  Amazon is still the cheapest I've seen so far.

Amazon.com has always been the best source to purchase new and used cds for me. I bought spiders, TGY, HOG & Voodoo for $11.99+$2.95ea shipping from importcds. They always arrive in 2-5days. smooth transaction! All 4 remasters sound awesome. Im lucky to have the opportunity to listen to my music through an amazing Axiom 5 channel speaker system with a Dennon 3808AVR. None the less, the remasters are more dynamic and a high level of detail has been brought foreward. The remasters are so worth the purchase if you have good equipment to hear it on.
