Montreal 2003
« on: September 11, 2010, 01:03:16 pm »
There's this guy on YouTube with excellent audio of this show.  Compared to the distorted audio on the other version.  Yet they both seem to be from the same camera.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScTqLcAAXjo

Does anyone have this whole show with the good audio?

I wanna put it on my iPod Touch to jam out to while on the city bus.

This is the best KD concert video I've seen, anyone know of any better ones? (I don't like the '96 Brazil KD/MF show as much 'cause it's day time).

I have that concert with the same audio quality on DVD. :) Montreal, 11/05/2003. It's the best KD concert footage I have seen, at least until the official 3 DVD set comes out!

There's a great performance of Arrival from the same tour on YouTube which sadly didn't make it onto the bootleg :(

Yeah, it's one of my favourite DVD bootlegs for sure. Zlin 2006 is great good quality show as well but overall not as great as Montreal '03.

One of my all-time favourite bootlegs is KD: Aardschok (I'm not sure of the spelling), Netherlands '86. The crowd is so crazy. There's a lot of stagediving, moshing on stage etc. Even one guy plays some kind of brush on stage pretending it's a guitar. He plays over 1:30 minutes and then the minder throws him off the stage. It's fun to watch KD guitarists moshing with this crazy guy. :P

And so is mine. Perhaps not for the audio, but overall this is the best KD live video out there.
The event was actually the Aardschokdag. Crowd went crazy that day, you should see the other vids from this event: Helloween, Agent Steel, Laaz Rockit. All fucking awesome.
People got thrown off stage all the time. The guy on stage with the broom was one of the guys that set up the event. So they let him play that air guitar. On all those Áardschokdag vids it's really funny to see the people trying to stay out of the securities' hands. At some time two guys get on stage and grab a security guy and hold him while diving back into the audience  :D

Good old times

Damn i wish i could get my dad to go to KD!
He did however go to Bruce Dickinson, so I suppose that counts for something (and he liked it).

Youy're not the only one  Except mine didn't hear it to often, i had to go ask him for the heaviest and most awesome metal band he had in his collection, because i was in the mood for some very heavy metal. I got to listen to In The Shadows on my discman in the dark when i had to go to sleep and it was just pure awesome!

I understand that you would have loved to grew up with King Diamond/Mercyful Fate. Who here doesn't? But Sarah Brightman is awesome singer. One of the best female voices I know.

Yeah, I should have remembered it's the Aardschokdag. Actually I have seen the Helloween gig from Aardschokdag and it was crazy as well. Hopefully I'll get Lääz Rockit and Agent Steel shows some day from that same event. :P
