Sweet Dreams
« on: March 19, 2010, 07:48:46 am »
King did an excellent job on Probot's Sweet Dreams in 2004. The song sounds to me a lot like Ozzy Osbourne's later production - there's that same creepy feeling like e.g. in Black Sabbath's Psycho Man and Dave's guitar sound reminds me of mr. Tony Iommi  \m/ I don't want to compare King and Ozzy anyway, that would be foolish - no need to say they're both my all time favourites. Would be nice to hear King performing guest vocals also in future..

There is an old thread about this somewhere.  The song was actually written by Grohl for Ozzy but Zakk Wilde rejected it or something.

That's a pity. I mean it would have been great to hear Ozzy singing this one.

Zakk Wylde rejected it? that doesn't make much sense to me.

Are you sure you're not getting this mixed up with another song Grohl wrote for Ozzy (for one of Ozzy´s albums)?

The song was written for one of Ozzy's albums, not the Probot album.  So in a way, King was still the first choice to sing it on the Probot album.
