Miscellaneous King Diamond/Mercyful Fate
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:17:23 pm »
This board is for things about King Diamond that are too stupid or too small to start an entire topic about. I have something I would like to say. Am I the only one that thinks King Diamond sounds like the name of a drug? If someone talked about selling some "King Diamond" or "Whitesnake", unknowing people who arent into the music may think it's a drug. Especially Whitesnake. Sounds like a line of coke.

Well back when I was a kid listening to Mercyful Fate for the first time, and reading the liner notes and stuff, I thought Ol bang was some demon or satanic name of something King was thanking on all his albums. I had no clue it was a  name of his manager lol  :-[

Well, while sitting in the car on the way home, as I was listening to Welcome Home, I spotted a sign with an arrow pointing down a path with the words 'TEA' on the sign..

..Guess what instantly sprang to mind?

For those of you who uses Itunes. Theres a count of how many times a song has been played. Here's the question. What KD song or your computer has the most plays on it?

I don't know, but once a while back I was looking at the total songs I had on my itunes, and at that time Come to the Sabbath was song number 666. It's not anymore cuz I added stuff since then, but thought it was cool at the time.  :king:

never been able to verify this one.....but according to a friend of mine who is into music production. He was screwing around with a reel to reel one day. Dubbed some KD from The Eye and found a portion that if he slowed the reel down and played backwards and  slow he heard "no hidden messages asshole". It was the funniest damn thing I ever heard of considering I came from a region that still believes in that shit.   :D:

^ Wow :)

When I was much younger I read somewhere of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond. I didn't know the bands back then but I remember someone was saying how dangerous these bands are - how they are performing every kind of sick black rituals on stage etc. Then I thought I have to find out what's it all about. At first I confused the name Mercyful Fate to a name Mercury Rev for some stupid reason. Then I found out that Mercury Rev isn't a satanic heavy metal band. Haven't yet heard anything from Mercufy Rev, are they any good, does anyone know? :P

When my little brother was a kid I recall that girl called Melissa tried to kiss him. He was so in love with my brother. My brother always ran away and didn't let her too close to him. :gah:
