Who is "me" in "Mommy"?
« on: April 28, 2012, 08:40:49 am »
Does anyone have any thoughts who "me" is in Mommy??

At first I thought it was King Diamond (himself) talking to Little One but then I thought about it a bit more and figured that it could be O'Brian or maybe even another one of the horsemen?? :D

What does anyone else think?? :)

It may be Brandon Henry, who met Little One's spirit twin (Abigail) earlier in the story. She killed him in The Crypt.

Hmmm this is a good question.

I remember reading an interview with King where he talked about it...he said something like it's another person coming into the story, he knows who he/she is but doesn't want to talk about it since it's supposed to be a puzzle for the fans.

I'm betting it's King himself, walking through the ruins of the La Fey mansion. Just a guess.

What people?

Lucy / King.

Or maybe just King? :D

I don't think it's Lucy/Daddy...Narrator says:

Daddy don't look at me like that
I didn't do it...HE did...It was HIM
I could never...I could never
I wasn't even there

Is it King? But why? Is it some kind of strange tribute to his own father? And who is he blaming and for what? Or maybe he "sees" his own father who thinks that King has done the horrible things to Lucy, I mean he is nuts anyway in the story because of the medicide. After his daddy fades he starts to punish McKenzie.

Shagr,

I had an old interview from Metal Maniacs magazine in which King said 'Daddy' is the ghost of his (the lunatic's) father, who shows up...unexpectedly. :D The lyrics don't make that clear.

He is worried that his father will think he hurt Lucy. HE / HIM in the lyrics of that song refers to the mayor.
