Funny, I was searching for this not too long ago to no avail. I haven't been logged into these forums for a good while and the first thing I see is this thread. and yes, he sounds infernally PISSED! I would be too if I were in his shoes. Any dickhead who throws shit at the stage, other than ladies panties, should be stomped to death. It's not only rude but it's irresponsible too.

I have the live bootleg of 'First American Sabbath' and this incident is on the recording. On the back of the sleeve it has a statement by King (auuming it was said during or after the show' saying it's not cool as someone could have been electrocuted. Would have been a cool stage show but it would have only happened once haha!

Even though it was serious i have to share this bit of humor was listening to the wav file same time was tweaking my sound card by accident reduced the speed 4x in what much to my laughter could only say Konig the barbarian alright so i am a bit weird but hearing that kinda imagined King on stage with a massive two handed blade holding this dude up with one arm against the wall and i  just lost it damn near fell out of my chair laughing.   King sounded so much like Arnold in the connan movie it was hsyterical.

Yes very dangerous and irresponsible beer and old tube amps do not mix well zzzzzzzzt ouch.   In my previous post please do not misunderstand was nothing funny about the incident but the sound wav through fooling around with sound card was id have to say unique and almost comical so was not in any way making light of it. Had it been me on stage would have most definitely walked off stage and wrapped my hands around his throat.  Again in the face of severity King stayed true to his fans and did not  stop the show because of it and that to me says volumes.

Where is that on the LP?
It's not on my copy of "First American Sabbath".

Trying again pulling this thing up.
Is there someone who has the "First American Sabbath" bootleg and can confirm that this incident is on the recording?

And: Was that incident really during the Oregon show 1984?

I thought King said it happened in 1984 in Chicago?

Don't know why it would say that but in the world of Bootlegs things get mixed up. Howabout those typos on the Live Oath or the fact that it uses a KD band era pic instead of an MF era one? Portland was the first American show, but the bottle hitting King was in Chicago.
