Just wanted to say that I was initially really worried about losing Hal given his bass work is really a major part of King Diamond across the albums and on stage and you can always really feel his presence (or lack of) in the music... but Pontus did a really kick ass job at least from what I saw at the gig in Berlin and was smiling and rocking away, especially on Horsemen and Sabbath he really kicked ass.  Seems like a nice dude too!!

Looking forward to the future, it's a shame about Hal gone but hopefully the next album won't make me miss him.

I was impressed by Pontus Egberg. Hopefully he's going to be the permanent bass player.  :king:

Was really impressed by Egbergs preformence in Stockholm. Played well and looked like he belonged there, rocked well on stage and not just stood in a corner. No problem for me if he ends of with
the job fulltime.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel compelled to call the new guy "Pontius Pilate" and hope that he gets to play some House of God songs?  :icon_twisted:

Judging from the videos, it sounds like he fits the bands really well, of course I'll have to hear him in person to deliver a final verdict.  \m/

He did miss a couple cues and had an odd note here and there, at the Palladium show. It wouldnt even have been noticable hadn't everything else been perfect. Overall he did great and looked like he fit up there, I wouldn't mind if he got the gig permanently either.

From the videos I have seen he seems pretty damn good for this gig! I am all for it! When will he be announced as a fulltime member? ;)

He was great at the NYC gig.  He adds his take on things here and there in the songs and it works well. Don't even remember the name of the guy he replaced.  :D:

He plays bass with his fingers like Timi also.  Has a Timi type bass sound.  I was there in Chicago too and was extremely impressed.  Hope he goes full time!! :king:

Yeah, you're right. As a huge fan of Timi Hansen I do adore Egberg as well. \m/

Don't forget that he also looks like Fabio, which I assume can only increase the band's earning power

All through the set I just kept thinking that he's only been with the band for a few months, and I think he was pretty much nailing it.  Sounded real good and fit the band well.

My thought's exactly. He and Matt are a killer rhythm section. It's like they have been playing together for years.

Pontus slayed in Las Vegas! He stepped up to the top of the staircase across from were I was standing on the balcony so I gave him a thumbs up in approval of his performance. He seemed to get the message.  \m/

after seeing you guys at FFFFest, i wanted to say tht pontius is a great addition. he is energetic, and his bass tone is really really great. i wasnt sure about him since i grew up with patino, but i really really enjoyed pontius's playing.
