Meet & greet
« on: February 04, 2015, 02:26:51 pm »
Hi everyone!

I just read the forum and really liked the thread about meeting King in person (which is my dream for like... eternity). I've met Andy once and still have a poster he signed for me...

Livia, if you read this, could you please be so kind to ask King to do at least couple of meet-and-greets during the next tour? Not free, because I'm absolutely sure the die-hard fans would pay to really get a thing signed by him and get a picture with their hero and may be with someone from the band too or spend 2 minutes with him, ask a question or something. Because you know it would be a REALLY priceless moment nobody from us would EVER forget. Why not doing this? It could be also some kind of a lottery where 25 fans could win their short meet with King for every concert (I know you did something like this in Russia a couple of years ago) or 25 tickets for meet-and-greet for every gig. I totally respect King's decision not to hang out after the gigs and I do respect him caring about his health, but may be a 20-minute m&g would be possible? At least it would be a chance to finally meet the man who literally changed my life in 1988 :)

Thank you for your attention! :king:

I'd buy tickets for a meet and greet. At least do a couple across the USA....c'mon!  :gah: Has anyone ever seen the 1987 Abigail tour Meet and Greet video in Houston (?) Texas? Truly epic!  :king:

And how about tickets to listening parties, rehearsals, dedication ceremonies, seances. Hell I would pay for tickets to go shopping with King for kitty litter. I would also buy The Retro MF/KD DVDs, textile posters/wall hangings, a new KD album, a new MF album, The Eye Necklace, even a King Diamond haunted house play set!  I'd say 'hey that's just me', but I think most of us here would pay for these things.  :king:

Well may be all this stuff would be really too much hehe :)) But a normal meet-and-greet would be so awesome... hard-to-believe kind of awesome :)

Hi all on this thread . . .

Just to make it clear . . . we never charge anything to participate in a meet 'n greet.
When it has taken place in the past we have usually had it as a competition of a sort, frequently with a radio station or some other kind of promo activity.
If it will happen in the future remain to be seen. . . . nothing is impossible.

Thanks for your support.

For this purpose, would in store appearances and record signing events count? I would not hold it against anyone to charge anything. Time is valuable and there are always expenses.
