Not sure if he did or not, but don't really care. Other than the Sixth Sense, the guy hasn't done anything really all that great anyways. Really overrated IMO, don't see why people make such a big deal about his movies.

I loved the Sixth Sense on every viewing.
I was not impressed with Unbreakable the first time I saw it.  Subsequent viewings and I really started enjoying it.  It was definitely underrated.
The Village was creepy but I figured out the twist about halfway through.
Rest of his stuff was trash.

Movie looks cool! Don't see any direct rip off! IMO if m night was influenced by "them" then that is a tribute to diamond in a great way!!   :king: artists are influenced by other artists, that's all! Rip off is when someone makes the "conscience" decision to duplicate some or most of it without any respect for the craft!

I like M. Night movies. I thought the sixth sense was an excellent movie. I'm also a fan of Unbreakable and The Village. I thought both of those were really good movies. He has had plenty of duds but that happens with almost everybody in any art form. Not sure if this new one takes any inspiration from King but I like M. Night's style. I like any film maker that has a distinctive style. When you watch most film, you can't put your finger on a district artistic voice, it's just movement on camera, but some films you can tell who directed it by the first scene. I like film makers who have an impact on their movies, in a district way. Kevin Smith, Robert Rodriquez, Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Dario Argento, M. Night. These are some of the most creative and district film makers you will find.
